Today we’re meeting Carol Ojasoo, who is a real estate agent at RE/MAX Sunset in Fuengirola and loves helping people to discover this great town and buy the right property for them.
Carol is originally from Tallinn in Estonia and has a Master’s Degree in Semiotics and Public Relations from Tartu University. Before coming to Spain, she used to work for International Universities in Estonia as a Marketing and Communications Manager. She also had a catering and food production company, specialising in healthy foods.
Carol arrived in Spain in 2017 as she wanted to learn Spanish and adopt a more positive attitude in the sunshine. She is now a real estate agent, working under global RE/MAX brand. She explains how she made the leap into the real estate sector, “I started very soon after arriving to Spain, it seemed very natural to move from selling higher education to selling properties – both require serious thought and investment. After non-stop learning, professional development and training, I can say that I am good at what I do. As a bonus I speak fluent Spanish and most importantly during the last three years I am proud to say that I have made many families happy by finding them a wonderful new home!”
She originally lived in Benalmadena but she was recruited to work for RE/MAX Sunset in Fuengirola and decided to move there to be closer to her clients and get to know the area inside and out. Carol really loves working and living in Fuengirola because it’s a vibrant and dynamic town with many business opportunities. She’d recommend that visitors and new residents look beyond the beach and the bars to see how much Fuengirola has to offer. She says, “Dig a little deeper and look a little further from the beach front and you will find amazing nature trails, beautiful countryside, farms and orchards all within easy reach. The location is great too if you love culture as the best museums are just a train ride away.”
She speaks fluent English, Spanish and Estonian and understands Finnish and Russian so is perfectly placed to help international buyers who want to own their slice of paradise.
